The Idea...

The idea behind the Anchor started out very simple. Its owner wanted to incorporate an image of an anchor on to a custom guitar. Easy right? As the designing process began, I wanted to take this piece to the next level; to not settle for the easy route, but to put in the extra effort to make something that really stands out from the crowd.

The Process...

Rather than a simple image transfer or paint job, the decision was made to do an inlay that spanned the entire face of the guitar. The inlays were created using over 60 individual pieces of walnut, figured maple, blood wood, ebony, and mother of pearl. These exotic woods together with the ash body are not only create an aesthetically pleasing color palette and design, but also an instrument with a beautiful tone and sustain like no other!

I am...

I am a twenty-two year old with a love for music, art, and creating. In the spring of 2012 I graduated from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a BA in Criminal Justice which I hope I will never have to use. I built my first guitar at the age of fifteen, and it was...well...less than perfect. Seven years later, I am light years ahead of where I started, and ready to create some of the most beautiful instruments anyone has ever seen.
